Here is the latest drought summary for Pennsylvania:

Hi Bill, Such a perfect rainbow! Love that photo!!
Pennsylvania certainly had a dry spell. We did, too, in Central NY, but I don’t think it was that bad. There was a heatwave with temperatures reaching the mid-upper 90s and maybe even 100 degrees. That’s my kind of weather! It feels good to go outdoors and feel like I’m thawing out. We have central air in our house, but I always keep it at about 78 degrees since I’m always cold, so it doesn’t run very often. Otherwise, I’m bundled up, wearing a fleece at all times. One of my neighbors teases me; she wears typical summer clothes, and when she sees me outside wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, she always shouts out that it’s time to put away the winter clothes.
I’ve been doing some little projects at home, which I love doing. Most recently, I mixed some cement to the consistency of pudding. After filling in the spaces that have grown between slate pieces that cover our small front porch with small stones (that grip the cement) I patched the areas where it was needed. The following day, once everything was set and dry, I washed down the porch, and once that was dry, I applied Thompson’s Water Seal. I love painting (mostly inside but also a couple of outdoor spaces where there isn’t siding) and caulking, too. It’s a sense of accomplishment when it’s finished.
Hope that you, your family, and pups are happy and well. Marcia
